I’ve submitted my STEM application on Jan 12 and changed to premium on July 21 anyone with same timeline?

My STEM OPT application is still pending, but my 180-day automatic work authorization has expired. My employer has kindly agreed to keep me on **unpaid leave (no work)** until I receive my work authorization/approval.

I’m wondering:
Do I need to update my **I-983** because I’m on unpaid leave?

Do I need to report anything to my DSO/SEVIS?

Or can I keep everything as it is since I’ll return to the same employer once authorized?

Has anyone been in a similar situation?
