The main reason I bought a surface pro over standard laptops.

I have a surface pro 12”. Previously I’ve gotten Lenovo yoga’s and Dell xps13’s. I type on my devices ruthlessly. From texting friends to writing 260+ page novels in word. Always traditional laptop keyboards give out. It starts with a key not functioning and then another and another. With a surface pro all I have to do is buy another keyboard. No need to take it in or do a repair myself. Chuck the keyboard and snap another on. And the surface pro 12” keyboard is different from the earlier keyboards where the material peels. It’s durable and does not flex. It’s meant to last longer.

I just hope gaming doesn’t wear too much on my surface pro. I plays games like Control, disco elysium, and resident evil 7, even balder gate 3 with settings on low, however the thermals aren’t the best since it has no fans. So it heats up while still playing the games fine. Although most of the games I play are classic games like point and click ones, vampire the masquerade bloodlines1, Skyrim, gta vice city. Regardless, at least it’s peace of mind that the keyboard situation will always remain a low maintenance issue.

Recently my camera light randomly came on and stayed on. Rather alarming. So, I reset my pc and bought camera privacy doors, basically a sticker with a tiny moving door. However, wherever I put one I can’t use windows hello with the door open. The regular camera is dead center. The LED light for the camera is just to the right. There looks like another camera to the right of that but I’m not sure what it is. And then there’s all the space to the left of the regular camera.

Windows hello uses only the infrared camera right? Where is this camera above the screen exactly so I know I’m not blocking it? I’d like to put a privacy doors on both cameras
