... two attempts at other characters that are giving me a hard time drawing.

While working on it I thought about how loved Akiyama is and how a few of his money lending actions really weirded me out. Maybe that's his appeal for me. That he's a flawed character with enough good in him that I can generously forgive some of the creepy stuff? Don't know. 🤷🏼

Could just be his voice tbh and his very relatable love for cigarettes (I quit but sometimes I miss it). 🙈

I'm also replaying >!Song of Life!< right now and I like him very much in this game.

Not much feeling towards Daigo from my end I realized. One thing always comes to mind when I see him though: does he do his eyebrows himself? Do they grow like this? He must be happy to have gotten a good chunk of his mother's genes. 🤔

After yesterday's awful post I tried hard to make up for it. Ryoma is one of the characters that I can't draw too well (like Akiyama and Nishiki). I don't understand why, because Kiryu feels not too troublesome for me 🤷🏼

Here are some first results and I'll try harder to do him justice in the future 🙇🏻

Maybe (hopefully?) I just can't see anything anymore because I spent way too much time with this. Anyways, I think the lips look good. If necessary ignore the rest😅

Wanted to draw her for some time so here is my first attempt

First ones are from today, the very last one is a few days older, I gave up on trying to draw the gun he's holding in the screenshot I drew from. Mwah. 🫣

To make up for the apparent PTSD I evoked in some people with posting a Saito drawing I hereby present two of the few Saejima drawings I've made. They're not the best ones but I find him very difficult to draw. I actually prefer the rough sketch of him and Baba over the first one.

Sorry for re-taumatizing you guys with Saito. I suffered, too. 🙇🏻🙇🏻🙇🏻

Ichiban was among the first Yakuza fan arts I made last year.

Today I have over 300 digital drawings on my iPad and around 100 physical (acrylic) paintings.

... but I don't enjoy backgrounds. I like the black suit against the lighter colors though. Second picture is a wip of reworking the eyes which looked a bit unsettling.

Today's first sketch was Ichiban. The other two are from yesterday. Someone posted the screenshot of the two (imo best) actors that played Kiryu so far. I found the look on their faces together very funny and must now somewhere find a stream to watch Samurai Cat.

I mean, Samurai! Cat! 🤩

I spent the whole afternoon painting and enjoyed it lots! I remade the drawings from yesterday in acrylics and started another piece. Unfortunately I fucked up the eyes, and badly. 😵 But damn! The lower part of the face! What happened?? 😮

Haruka for a change! I've had so much fun with her part during 5 and never expected that. Even listening to the music from time to time.

(May touch up some things here and there the next days (when I can see again 🫪).) The last two pictures are from yesterday's progress. Was really excited to come back today and finish it.

I always wanted to paint this instead of just draw it in black and white because of the warm colors, even though usually I prefer sketching.

I believe it's 30*30 cm, so much bigger than my usual (fan art) paintings.

Spamming you all with drawings atm but I "won" a lot of spare time recently and drawing keeps me busy.

I really liked them together in IW. Would have loved to get more interaction/table talks/drink links and stuff. I know story wise we should leave it as it is rn but I really enjoyed seeing two of my favorites hang out with each other and could go for more.

I may have drawn a decent (for me) Joryu at last! For now. I guess. ^(We'll see.)

Also decided I have to give my dear buddy Ichiban a bit more attention. Without him I would have never gotten into the franchise.

I am currently displaying art in a local bank together with a friend. (I actually do paint stuff apart from fan art.) Didn't take a picture of the whole thing from the front but I guess I posted quite a few wip pictures.

Even though the customers won't recognize them I find it kinda funny to have a bunch of Yakuza and related individuals keeping their eyes on the cash.

Spent the day on the balcony drawing (we had a day of summer here and I felt I had to SIT outside at least). Failed spectacularly trying to draw Ebina and had to return to one of the favorites to overcome the feeling of defeat. No Irezumi, this one was to calm my nerves...

Wanted to draw sth different. So another perspective for Majima (and I left out the snake, because lazy), one Shinada which is always challenging for me and the first Yuya I ever drew.

I must admit I love Kiwami 2. I was really looking forward to it when I started my second playthrough of the series. The story is totally nuts but I like Sayama very much (and most of the other characters).

One of my favorite scenes is the one in Sotenbori at the river. I have tried to draw it several times over the past year and I think I've gotten better at drawing but I never quite get it. Pretty sure that I'll draw it a few times more until I'm happy...
