Permanent Tubes?

Hi, after several cholesteatoma surgeries, I’ve always had trouble with pressure equalization. That’s why I’ve had ear tubes in both eardrums for several months now. They do help, but the problem is that they keep getting clogged with crust. This gives me a really weird sensation in my ear, and I hear strange noises, which is incredibly annoying in my daily life. I’ve been told to try dissolving the crust by adding hydrogen peroxide and oil. But I feel like that doesn’t help at all. Does anyone else know this situation and have any tips?

Hi, everyone. I’ve had five cholesteatomas so far. So many surgeries, and my ears have really taken a beating. Right now, I have ear tubes in both eardrums because otherwise I have serious problems with pressure equalization. Anyway, sports are a really important part of my life, but during and after working out, my ears just don’t feel so good. It’s really demotivating, but exercise is really important to me. Does anyone have similar problems and maybe have some tips? My doctor says it’s just my weakness, but exercise is generally very important and always good for you—it’s just hard for me.
