Please teach your kids about our history and the sacrifices, that was made for people like me to safely come home and enjoy peace. May 18th isn’t just about dancing and celebrating, it’s a time to reflect.

My late mother once told me a similar story of this man. The next door neighbor’s family who walked with ours from Hargasia to Ethiopia, meet a similar faith, except the youngest girl who was fetching water with my older brother. The entire family who was a few meters under the trees, was slaughtered by an airplane. Very gruesome scene, some of my older sisters who were there, literally have PTSD and refuse to even visit SL. While we dance and be joyful this May 18th please remember those who gave their lives for us.
