Edit, organise, audition, and transfer sounds for your FM1. Import standard DX7 SysEx banks when you want to bring in more voices.
The free KnobcraftOrm is quite handy for organizing and categorizing DX7 sounds. You can import multiple Sysex files at once, and duplicates are automatically deleted. I modified the already existing DX7 adaption to send single sounds to the FM1 and save them to the current bank number. That said, sending whole banks is not possible with this adaption.
I took a different approach to deal with the insane amount of DX7 sound available on the net by sorting the Dexed Cart1.0 by Algorithms into sysex banks – with a little bit of deduping on top :) The download contains an analysis of the DX7 Algorithms and a little stats file (Algorithm 18, 5 and 2 are the clear winners here :) Enjoy!

And to no ones surprise, it's running dexed as a LV2 plugin.
Host native mode: ALSA standalone app (firmware/host/fm1_synth), LV2 plugin
(firmware/host/lv2/fm1_dexed.so), offline WAV sim (firmware/host/sim)
So in theory, FM-1 could run other LV plugins like these

You can use Dexed not only for sysex dumps (bank and single) but for editing too. Don't forget to set Midi output im Options *and* in PARM > DX 7 out to "FM -1 AUDIO"
I'm having a ball with the Ensoniq Fizmo Transwaves inside my Liven Texture Lab. Now there are more Transwaves from the other Ensoniq models, does anyone happen to have any of them in their collection? Thanks!
