I want to submit this photo to a local magazine. It’s not perfect and I can’t make it again. What do you guys think of it? Here is the prompt for the magazine:

“imagining Arkansas’s future, particularly how our world might change through technological advancement, political decisions, and ecological destruction—and what possibilities we have for shaping that future.”

The bottle used is Mountain Valley water which is from Arkansas. I shattered the bottle then wanted the flowers emerging from it. I’m touching on the ecological destruction part

I wanted a bit more detail but I still love her

I’ve been trying to execute this idea in my head with the border of leaves and a flower inside but now I’m not sure if it’s too much or overwhelming. I initially wanted to use a colored card stock to create some contrast between the border and picture. I bought a few different colors but it still didn’t seem right when I put the border next to them. maybe I am overthinking it

been trying over and over to get them like a test print I did that turned out so good, but it’s not working. this one is pretty close

first time working with these!
UV 8 for 12 minutes on white card stock
some chemicals got funky as you can see so I will probably reshape in some way

lots of interesting toning. they were mostly dry but still some moisture left
UV 9 for 20 mins

I love getting all the detail with live flowers, but silhouettes can still be beautiful

which variation do you prefer?

they were still damp and I didn’t get the results I expected, I’m going to try and dry them out completely. but I do love the colors

these are the flowers I have so far for my project (plus Lily of the Incas from my previous post) I'm going to cut them all out to shape and put them in a framed poster with their names underneath. they are all printed on colored card stock
flowers shown in order are: rose mallow hibiscus, rose of Sharon hibiscus, Cora white vinca, hula hoop petunia, Madagascar periwinkle

I had no expectations just curious what it would look like lol. I exposed for a good 30 minutes

tested on some scrap paper, not easy to work with but they captured beautifully

made for a little girls birthday!

my goal was for the boxes to fade out. I exposed the first one for full time (12 min) middle for 8 min and the last for 3 min. it absolutely did not work lol. I will be trying again one day with different times
