I need help with replicating mixed effects in Audacity

I was told by my friend that I should go here to ask the pros because I suck at any form of audio mixing.

I'm trying to replicate modern radio output from a regular voice sample. I have one original mixed sample which is perfect for what I want, which I created yesterday. However, when I attempted to recreate the same effects on another voice sample today, it sounds more or less completely different.

When I instead went back to try to recreate the same effects on the same voice sample... it still came out differently. I'm sure I am doing something wrong with one or more of my effects, but I'd like to know what the difference is and how to correct it.

The effects I've used have been `Helmet Radio 1.1`, `Low-Pass Filter`, `High-Pass Filter`, `Distortion` and `Reverb` to recreate modern military/LEO radio output. I don't remember the order of effects being applied, or what the specific settings for each setting was, and I've spent the past 6 hours non-stop trying to replicate what I had in the beginning. The new version sounds a lot less distorted and generally too sharp or dry.

If anyone would be so kind as to help me figure out what it is I'm missing between these two audios, I'd be tremendously grateful. If required, I will also upload the whole original project I have for the first sample.

Reddit apparently removed my first post for breaking "filters" so I am unsure about how to upload the samples that I have. I can try uploading them in the comments.

Two months later....

Ymy'all probably (don't) remember me as one of thousands who was asked for the difference between the 9070 and 9070 XT. I don't blame y'all, but bear with me.

in my last post, I said I'd decided to go with the XT model and was planning on going ahead with that. unfortunately due to a sudden financially different situation after posting, I couldn't do it.

what followed was crickets. I just accepted that it wasn't gonna work out and moved on.

the same day as my birthday, Saturday, I randomly discovered that a domestic retailer had a big 33% discount for the ASUS 900 Prime OC model. that easily indeed big. original price was $915, discounted price $600. that's almost a fourth of the price notched down.

at first I was skeptical because it felt like there had to be a catch (I'm not particularly trusting of discounts and VAT and stuff), but lo and behold it really was just $600 for a very nice, brand new 9070 with stock overclock. long story short (pun intended) I decided to go for it the same night after hours of consideration.

yesterday it arrived! I am now a proud owner of this thing, and for the first time I bought myself what I'm pretty sure is considered a flagship model.

TLDR; after months of being unable to buy the XT model, I found out the non XT model was significantly discounted and it was too good to pass up! I snagged one and it arrived yesterday 😋🫪

Hi again!

So after my last post, I've decided that I'll be going for the 9070 XT. It feels like it's worth the additional ~$80 that I'd be paying for it.

Now comes my next question, which might be a bit more difficult to answer.

I remember with the GTX 1060 I got many, many years ago, there was talk about choosing specific manufacturers due to some having worse consistency in QA or more frequent defects in their production lines for consumer cards.

That problem has led to me feel a bit wary of specific manufacturers due to rumors; such as Gigabyte and EVGA. Does this ring true now too with the 9070 cards? Or is it just good to go now with whatever brand you prefer?

I don't want to buy a card from a manufacturer and have it end up with a defect or AMD specific issue of some sort, so I would like to know if I should be wary of any brand for some particular reason.

Thanks!

Sorry if I have the wrong flair, or if I am in the wrong sub.

My current card is the Gigabyte RTX 3060Ti 8GB. Upgraded to it from a 2070 Super for free. Now I'm looking to switch to AMD for my next card. I'm looking for opinions from folks who use either one of the cards in the title — non XT and XT alike.

Now, I've been offered help to afford whatever I end up getting, so I want to know what is recommended as I don't want to make a choice only to regret it and have to live with it. I'm mainly looking for used as there is a decent used market in my country (Sweden) and people are for the most part honest when selling cards here.

From what I've been eyeing and feeling out, I'm very interested in the 9070 non XT due to the power draw. I've heard that the performance it offers compared to the XT variant is not that much less (≤15%?), while the power draw is something like 115W higher. I've also seen that the 9060XT is more reasonably budgeted and will still work fine in 1440p with the 16GB version. However most people I talked to about this pointed out that the 9070 is a significantly bigger jump overall.

So what do folks recommend? I would really like to upgrade quite soon, but is the jump between a 3060Ti and a 9070 far more worth it than a jump to a 9060? It might seem obvious, but I want to make sure I'll buy what I buy well informed lol

Edit: Forgot to mention: I'm running a 5800x3d undervolted to -15 on each core, DDR4 32GB 3200MHz and a 1000w supply
