Forever economy snapshot: crafting and disenchant margins across the 4 US markets this morning
Hey everyone,
I’ve been pulling auction data for Forever from player scans and figured some of you would find the numbers useful. This is as of this morning (Sunday), US servers. Full disclosure, the data comes from an addon & website tool I built, more on that at the bottom.
Crafting margins that stood out (cost of mats at market median vs. what the result sells for after the 5% AH cut):
- PvP Horde: Azure Silk Gloves. About 83s in mats, sells for around 8g 55s. Tailoring 100, so very reachable right now.
- Normal Horde: Frost Oil. 1g 30s in, about 10g 24s out. Alchemy 180.
- Normal Horde: Barbaric Bracers. 4g in, about 18g out. Leatherworking 115.
- Normal Alliance: Azure Gustwoven Hood and Spaulders, both roughly 2 to 3g in for 14 to 16g out. Leatherworking 145.
- PvP Alliance: Silvered Bronze Breastplate. About 1g in for nearly 7g out at Blacksmithing 95.
Faction gaps on the normal ruleset are worth investigating if you have characters on both sides.
Through the neutral auctioneers which take 15%, here’s a potential arbitrage play for normal ruleset megaserver:
- Large Radiant Shards are about 20g on Horde and 51g on Alliance.
- Feet of the Lynx is 4g 50s on Horde against about 24g on Alliance.
Disenchanting: dust and essences are close to worthless at the moment (Strange Dust is around 2s), so most of the value is in shards and blues/purples.
There's still plenty of gear listed under what it disenchants for. On Normal Alliance there was a Winged Helm up for 25g that should average around 48g in mats, and on PvP Horde a pair of Arena Vambraces at about 10g against roughly 17g.
These are medians of what's listed, not confirmed sales. Some of the crafted gear has only a handful of listings, so check how many are up before you craft ten of anything. Uncommon disenchant results are an average over many disenchants, not a promise per item. Everything here moves fast while it's still beta.
I’m gathering this data with the tool I built called AHledger. It's a free addon (on Curseforge & Wago) plus a free data website (ahledger.com) with these pages per market: deals, crafting margins by profession, market depth and supply changes, and a disenchant scanner.
Nothing is paywalled. This is more about seeing the whole market at a glance and checking prices without logging in. There's also a free API if you want to pull arbitrage opportunities and deal data into a sheet.
Happy to answer questions, feedback is massively appreciated. I’ve had the opportunity to ship features this week based on great feedback from the community.
Appreciate you all and I hope this tool helps everyone get a leg up in the new forever economy.
