I'm a new beekeeper in Upstate New York, with 5 hives. During today's hive check, one hive had several dead pupae between the supers. I didn't see any signs of varroa on them, and we've had a few cooler nights (high 50s, rainy) this week-- could it just be the cold that killed them? Something else? Thanks in advance!
