Corporate or Project HR?

I have an opportunity to join a construction project but it’s fixed term and goes until 2028. I am an advisor and want to one day work my way up, potentially to HRBP role.

I’ve always been in corporate. I want to keep learning and developing. But my concern is the fixed term component.

Can anyone shed some light? I am feeling lost right now on which direction to take.

For those who are in HR - project HR roles

Hey all,

Hoping some people can give insights.

I was wondering what people’s experience have been working for project HR roles? I have an opportunity to be part of a construction project. I have 6 years experience with the last year and a half being a HR advisor. I’ve always worked in corporate roles.

This is a fixed term contract so I do feel kind of worried about that. But I’m curious as to what benefits do you get when it comes to development working in projects vs corporate.

I do enjoy the ER component and want to better myself in that.
