Kobo Libra Colour VS Clara BW

Hello! I don’t know how helpful this will be, but I’ve had my kobo Clara BW since it came out, and my Libra Colour arrived yesterday. I’ve been extremely hesitant to try out the Libra because of reviews mentioning all of the downsides to colour, but caved because I wanted to try out the larger screen, buttons etc. I was very worried about graininess and issues with contrast.

In all of these photos, both the Libra and Clara BW have the same brightness settings. 0% brightness, and then 8% for both in the darker photos.. I didn’t take a photo at night, but I always read at 1 - 2% brightness and to me, they both looked nearly identical. I don’t know if I just lucked out with my panel or if I happen to actually not be particularly sensitive to the difference in screen. I actually used to have a Kindle Paperwhite from around 2021, and I found this to be worse than the Libra Colour simply because of the flush screen making it look blurry and grey to me.

The camera can’t capture everything, but if anyone wants any more photos under different lighting conditions, let me know.
