every couple of month I get error messages because I cant start my neural dsp plugins. it is always some problem with the iLok software. the only solution (on iLoks shitty website in the support section there is no solution) that i found is to delete the software and install it new. This sucks. Going to use tonex from now on instead of my neural dsp plugs.

EDIT: The exact error message is "Error 2001: background component unavailable"

EDIT EDIT: Apparently iLok errors happen, if you use other plugins like avid or UA, because iLok cant distinguish them. It mostly happens on mac with sequoia.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: I posted the (shortest) solution (without re-installing) in the comments, but it will probably get lost, so here I post it again:

1. Open Terminal (you can find it via Spotlight by pressing Cmd + Space and typing "Terminal").
2. Stop the PACE License Service by typing the following command in the terminal: 'sudo launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.paceap.eden.licensed.plist'
   • You’ll need to enter your admin password when prompted.
3. Restart the PACE License Service by typing this command: 'sudo launchctl load /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.paceap.eden.licensed.plist'
4. Relaunch iLok License Manager and check if the error is resolved.
