How do I surprise my boyfriend by telling him I finished the first season of AoT without directly saying it/using a reference from the anime to say it?

I'm starting this post with a huge apology, as this might not be the appropriate place for a request like this, but I don't know where else to find ideas. Im profoundly embarrassed.

My boyfriend really, really likes Attack on Titan because he has an emotional attachment to the anime; he truly loves it. I'm watching AoT not only for the plot but also to get to know him better. I really wanted to surprise him the next time we see each other.
