How’s life in MEng program/NCR Region?
I’m an international student ready to join MEng program 26 Fall. I’m currently looking for accommodation and would appreciate some advices. I specifically want to know:
Is it necessary to live near campus to have a more convenient campus life? From what I know, lots of MEng courses can be taken online (please correct me if I misunderstood.), so maybe housing near campus is not that important?
Do MEng students go to research center in Arlington often? Or do we mainly stick with the building in Alexandria?
Anywhere recommended to live at? I’m considering Washington D.C, Arlington, Alexandria but still cannot make decision cause I’m worrying that if it will take too much time to get to school by public transportation. (That’s why I’m asking the above questions.)
Anywhere considered dangerous and should definitely avoid living at?
