Looking for a place to stay and a Car
Hey Folks,
I'm moving from Germany to Queenstown/Frankton in midst of August this year to work as a mechanic for thl in Frankton. I've been keeping an eye on Facebook groups/Marketplace, Trademe and Autotrader for accommodation and a Car but I could not quiet find something yet. Do you have any tips?
First, about me: My Name is Paul, I'm turning 23 on 30.08. I like to travel and I'm really into Rockmusic (I also kinda play the guitar myself). I like a good sociallife and enjoy an easy night out (best with live music).
Accommodation: I dont mind living in an shared space with people around my age that are also quiet sociable. A small Apartment for myself would also be ideal for me but I think that's out of my budget. I'm staying in Newzealand for about 8-9 Months. My Budget for rent would be around 400$/week. I would like to Bike to work as well, so Queenstown/Frankton would be best for me.
Car: I dont need something fancy, just a reliable car to get me around. My Budget here is around 6k. Is there anything to keep in mind when buying and using a car in NZ other than WOF, Rego and an insurance?
