My stupid project car that I sometimes hate ❤️ and a little rant

This stupid little Suzuki (it's an 01 swift despite the Geo badge) has given me so much grief I am constantly going back and forth between loving and hating this car. I wish I had money to just send her to a shop but until then I'm stuck tearing down half the engine bay trying to get to the bottom of some stupid idling issues. You 3cyl owners don't know how easy you have it it's so much harder to find documentation for my G13bb I had to go out of my way to buy the service manual and that still doesn't tell me half of what I need to know! (And before anyone says anything yes I know the donut should be on the back but she's not driving anywhere right now so I don't care)

01 Swift 4 cylinder idle surging in park

Hi everyone, I have a Swift with a G13BB engine and was wondering if anybody else has had issues with the engine idle surging while in park? It started just before I replaced my dead IAC and I can't find the root yet but I'm suspecting it's either a vacuum leak I couldn't find or a gunked up EGR valve. This is my first project car and I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing so I thought I should see if anyone else has a guesstimate as to what it might be. EDIT: The car starts up fine but maybe 5-10 seconds after starting the rpm goes up for maybe a half second then instantly back down then immediately back up and back down again rinse and repeat ad infinitum, it immediately goes away when I put it into any other gear, it's been a while since I've been able to drive it but I think it also does it in drive when the engine is warmed up and I'm waiting at a light
