Meet goose! My new rescue pup
She is a Staffy husky mix with plenty of attitude
Edit: For some more information on her and her story. My partner and I are currently long distance, and while I was out visiting her in Maryland we decided to short term foster a dog for a few days from the shelter. We took goose (her name was sunchip at the time) home and she was the sweetest girl. No barking, lots of snuggles, great on walks, would lay down next to us on patios at restaurants when we went out for dinner, etc. We decided we couldn’t let her go back to the shelter; however, my partner couldn’t take her due to work and not being home enough to give goose what she deserved, so I canceled my flight, rented a car and drove goose across the country to stay with me until we all reunite.
The shelter told us she was picked up as a stray. She had a collar, but not identification, no chip, so they put her on hold, put her on the news, on face book etc. and no one came looking for her.
She now lives in Minnesota and has discovered many things: squirrels, how to talk and bark, tug of war, naps, and her little attitude. Today I was late for our morning walk and she hopped up on the couch to present me with my slipper she just chewed a hole through, dropped it right on my chest, then went to grab my walking shoes and bring one to me. We definitely have some things to work on but I think she is still decompressing and realizing she gets to be a dog. She missed out on some of her puppy years and is still a teenager after all!
