You’re all gonna feel real goofy on July 4th.

This game is goated but has some minor flaws. One, it doesn’t seem to matter whether I ask Congress to pass a bill or not. It never shows up in my list of legislation on the dashboard even when Congress passes it. Two, I don’t like it making decisions for me. For example, an issue arises about some executive order I signed that I never told it to do. Like if you’re playing in 2017 then you’ll have to deal with the immigration executive orders from otl even if you didn’t sign them. Three, there should be AI generated portraits for our fictional presidents. Four, when I win a war and then pivot to a counterinsurgency, it shouldn’t ask me to do it again repeatedly every time I win. Five, you should be able to have a real vice president for your fictional president.

America the Beautiful is continuing apace for its July 4 launch, but we still don’t have any writers or coders (to write and code the mod). If anyone is interested, please DM.

America the Beautiful will begin on July 4, 1776. You begin as General Washington and proceed throughout American history as each President. Depending on the path you take, American history (and thus the list of presidents) will diverge wildly from our timeline. It will be 250 questions in total and cover major events such as the Whiskey Rebellion, the Panic of 1837, the Civil War, Reconstruction and the Gilded Age, the Industrial Revolution, both World Wars, the Great Depression, the Cold War, Civil Rights, Vietnam, the War on Terror, and so much more. Depending on how you affect history, any one of these may never happen - or happen in a very different way than you’re expecting!

Will the Soviets beat us to the moon? Will Theodore Roosevelt trip and fall off a cliff in the Badlands? Will Lincoln fire McClellan? Will 9/11 be avoided? This and more will be up to you. Prepare for the most innovative and immersive experience in the history of web games. Whatever you’re expecting, we’re going to exceed it.

Coders and Writers needed (to code and write the mod)

America the Beautiful is the 250 question American history CYOA. Refer to my last post to read about it. Anyway, we need writers and coders to meet our July 4th, 2026 release. Dm me.

This will be an American history incumbency simulator in which you play as every president in American history. However, it is a CYOA project in which you start as George Washington in 1789 and simulate each election based on the previous decisions you make. So the list of presidents you play as up to the current day can vary wildly based on how you proceed. The mod will be 250 questions to honor America’s 250th birthday.

The project is proceeding at a quick pace, but we currently need coders and writers to code and write the mod. DM if interested.
