Capitol murder case is OVER
3 days into the trial, dude asked his lawyer this morning for a plea deal which the prosecution kept open.
We jurors were waiting in the deliberation room for 2.5 hrs while all this was coming to light in the courtroom.
We ended yesterday with hearing some very incriminating statements made by the defendant in the DMs of his deleted IG account.
Today he decided on 40 years with possibility of parole instead of life without parole if he was found guilty.
Lawyers and judge came back to the deliberation room where we got to ask questions and give them feedback.
This is my 2nd time serving on a jury in 7 years. Last time it was a civil case that ended in mistrial after 5 days of service.
