Update after recall software bandaid: % goes down on regen, % goes up on acceleration

I posted a couple weeks ago that my last 10% of my battery "disappears" and goes to --% doing interstate (65-70mph) driving and doesn't really recover after coming to a stop.

I had the recall software bandaid done and it seemed like everything was resolved from an outside point of view, my last 10% of battery was behaving as it should, slowly dropping as I drive like any battery would till 1% and then --%. I didn't really monitor much with LeafSpy but I did post a couple pics in my original post. Wished for a new battery, sure, but the patch seemed to do some sort of fix and I couldn't really be mad.

Fast forward a couple weeks and...

Today, on a 143 mile drive home I went from 95% when I left to 13% when I arrived. Average speed of 59mph with cruise set to 65mph and AC set to 76F.

Then parked for a couple hours, not charging at all, then went out to drive around town to complete some errands. All was fine till 11%, then it just went 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 --% while doing 50mph and slowing down with regen to a stop. I said that correctly, battery percentage dropped during regen. I get to a stop and it levels out at 2% again. Then I accelerate when the light turns green, not babying the car at all, and the battery meter goes 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15%. I let off the pedal and go back to regen and it jumps down noticeably to 7% and then --%.

So, now my last 10% of battery works backwards from physics. LeafSpy reports 73mv difference at idle.

I was able to repeat this reliably from stop light/stop sign to stop light/stop sign four times before turning around to go home and plug it in to charge.

Theoretically I can now drive for infinity if I keep my foot to the floor.

I'm new to getting my nails done... help with where to go? I'm very lost.

I've never had my nails done before. My wife did them for me last week and, I like it. It's pretty. Anywho...

I don't know where to go to get them redone before I head out of town tomorrow to visit friends for 4th of July. They're chipping and my nails grow out fast, apparently.

I'm over in Mt Juliet and was hoping to find something local.

My anxiety is just something fierce and I could really use somewhere overly warm and welcoming that will be happy to guide me through every single detail without judgement for my newness to all this. All I know is because of the work I do, gel nails are recommended for the added durability. What I have on now was whatever was on sale at Walmart so I could see if I like this or not.

I picked my car up today (Tuesday) after dropping it off Monday for a battery issue where the last 10% of battery disappears when driving on the interstate.

They gave me the software update and said drive to your hearts content or they can do the driving for me. I chose to do the driving myself after they drove for a bit (40% to 30%) and said they're not finding any issues. They offered to drive it the rest of the week but I kinda need my car.

First picture is before the update somewhere between 10% and 0% I'll never know cause the dash just showed --%.

Second picture is at 3% on the dash after the update after driving all around on interstates for an hour without issue.

Third picture is when Turtle mode kicked in long after I hit 1% and eventually --% on the dash while driving around town at 40mph. Never had any issues or power reduction.

Now it sits on the charger overnight and probably for the next couple days since I'll be busy at work. Then I'll drive again and let it run as low as I comfortably can before recharging again. The dealership never charged it to 100% before I picked it up.

2019 SL Plus - software update before road test for failing battery. Anyone know what it is/does?

I dropped my Leaf off this morning because the last 10% of battery is "unusable." It goes from 10% to --% in seconds doing 70mph. Getting off the interstate it recovers to 2% at best but usually just stays at --%. LeafSpy says cell #1 is weak. No Turtle mode, not that I tried continuing driving more than 5 miles at 45mph when it happened. Picture is after it happened and I parked at home.

Anywho, they were very helpful in answering all my nerdy questions except one right as my shuttle ride home pulled up. They said a 3hr software update needs to be installed before they can road test it, I asked what the software update is for/does/is it the recall software update and the advisor said he isn't sure at that second and would have to find out, but I was leaving.

Tried Google and some results say it's the recall software update. But I just wanted to see what everyone here says?

Anyone with a Nissan Leaf that knows which dealership is best for repairs?

My 2019 Leaf is getting the dreaded weak battery cell issue and I'm on very limited time to get it fixed before the extended warranty runs out.

Nissan of Rivergate basically told me I'm lying despite me proving the battery fails under 10% on the interstate giving the --% remaining pull over message.

So I'm curious who with an EV has had good luck at other Nissan dealerships...

It came from a recording studio off Music Row here in downtown Nashville, but I have no way to prove that and the storage has long been wiped, so take that for what it's worth as it doesn't increase its value any. I don't even remember what recording studio I bought it from.

I have no use for it anymore after building a newer gaming desktop. Willing to sell it for $500 (OBO because I just want it gone and I'm not sure it's actually worth $500) or I will part it out and scrap the machine itself at a recycling center if no offers in the next month or two.

Located near Nashville, TN, USA. Local pick-up or I will ship it properly in an appropriate sized and padded box for a fee, not whatever UPS/FedEx deems "good enough."
