Can anyone explain why none of the versions after 4.03 work?

All newer releases after 4.03 are fundamentally broken and they all are doing weird things. The latest version that came out yesterday only lets you download from a peer when a previous download is complete.

Making torrents run sequentially versus at the same time. Severely slowing down download speed.

Other versions just stright up refuse to download from peers even though it's connected.

Like, wtf is happening with the development team here. I always revert back to 4.03 and everything is working again.

But given in the next MacOS update, all legacy code is being removed. Will transmission be dead in the water?
