I’m a 28m and have been on Suboxone for 4 years. I’m getting injections called sublocade now to get off of this medication. It is an extremely potent synthetic opioid used in addiction.

As a result of this my libido has dropped to near zero over the course of the last three years. I have a beautiful girlfriend and it really sucks not wanting to enjoy eachother. The only thing that helps is rhino pills from the gas station lol.

I should be off of this medication in the next 3-6 months. I’ve been reading about how it is possible for long term opioid use can lower testosterone over time. I have low energy, fatigue, no libido, or drive to really do anything and it’s ruining my life.

I heard DHEA could potentially help get my testosterone back. Since i should be off by the end of this year I think it would be helpful to give it a boost to make the coming year easier to transition. The medication can stay in your system for up to a year after the last injection.

Basically what I’m asking is this a good idea for someone my age? I don’t plan on taking much, I have 25mg capsules and would stop them when I’m off this medication. So about 6 months of 25mg a day, what do yall think?
