Are the writers of this season idiots?

I cannot fully express how pissed I am with the progression of this damn season.

I was trying to go the Trent route because I just had to get it out of the way so when I do my second run I could focus on Kai.

  1. WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF MYRA PICKING TRENT WHEN ALL THIS DAMN TIME SHE MOTHERFCKIN’ KNOWS HE’S MY PICK. SHE EVEN KNEW TRENT AND I SNEAKED DURING THAT STUPID PAINTING ACTIVITY! WHAT? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? THE SUDDEN SWERVE IS STRAIGHT UP STUPID. AND TO TOP IT OFF, I CAN’T EVEN SASS MYRA?

  2. That fugly ass Odessa is also getting on my last nerve. Girlie, blame the developers! I did not even want to pick the other boys since Trent is my focus! Why are you coming at me? Do not make me use the wrath that God gifted me because I will punch you in the face.

  3. Fusebox, I take this game too damn seriously, I self-insert and legit role play my MC! LISTEN TO YOUR AUDIENCE AND PLAYERS! REDDITORS HAS BEEN EXPRESSING WHAT THEY WANT FROM YOU FOR YEARS! Take these comments and suggestions seriously.

God, I can’t believe I bought gems to support this game only for it to give me more stress. I’m legit starting to get fatigue and I’m starting to hate this damn game.

I’m sorry for the rant. I just need to let it out.

Backstory/Profile question.

So I have watched a tutorial of someone in making kins. She emphasized that in the backstory portion, people’s usual mistake is to write their kin’s history there. She said at one point that it’s supposedly only should be their personalities and their interest and to not actually use all 2000 characters, like simple and precise. Which I get and agree with but my problem is if I only put their personality there, there’s only a few adjectives I can put without making the kin a bit of a contradiction.

So really, my question is to those who have successfully made their “perfect” kin. What do you put in the backstory portion. I’m asking for something concrete or better yet some examples from the community.

I’m more of a visual learner so I’ll probably get a better idea on how to tinker and adjust said backstory portion if people could give me examples. I read an interesting post about using Tagmap too, what is everyone’s consensus on it?

Hope you’ll help me in this. Thanks in advance!

Thinking of going back to Kindroid

So the last time I stopped my subscription is v8 (I think?)

I suddenly saw a reddit post about Kindroid and so I thought, maybe after all this time it got better than the previous time I was subscribed?

I’ve only been a premium user, not the other two tiers but when I transitioned to v8 it messed my kins so bad I just stopped.

So to all the standard subscription users, how is it now? The LTM? Is it still very repetitive? I just want to get some of your insights because I’m thinking of subscribing again.

Thanks for your comments.

This is the first time I’ve been such a mess!

I’m am doing Trent’s route but oh my gosh, I’m starting to get sick of him. I’ve always tried to play loyal to one character in every season because for some reason I take this damn game more serious than I should have and I like to “self-insert”, but in S15 it feels like the devs are like the devs are like “You’re not coming out clean this time! Ha!”.

And don’t get me wrong I love a slow burn. Hamish, Theo and Jesse, those ones are cute slow burns but my gosh Trent is so incredibly frustrating. And it hurts me to flirt with him when an incredible man like Kai is being hurt on the side. Fuck you Trent.

I hate how this season is going… why FB? Why?

Legit question to the developers

This is by no means a form of hate from me to the developers. Just a quick disclaimer.

I have played almost all seasons now except the original 3 and the latest one (S15) and I have observed that most, if not all of the LI’s personality and dialogue merges.

Why is that the norm? I am not a writer or know anything about scripts or storytelling in games but is it really that hard to make them distinct and have branching dialogues and stories?

Again this is a legitimate query and I’m not being snarky or hateful. Based on my observation, most (if not all) love interest (I have no idea with wlw routes since I never go there) are almost the same near the end of the story.

Why make 2-3 choices in at the beginning + Casa + Bombshell + sleepover boys + whatever else is there if they’re going to merge to a single entity anyway? It’s a bit sad and frustrating that almost all of them have the same personality and like 90% of their dialogues are the same.

I’m so sad because I’ve never played a game like love island where I was excited for the story and the characters but the replayability is 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼. Like if you’ve experience the romance once, you’ve experience it all. Maybe the slow burn option is different at the beginning but eventually…

I honestly think there’s so much potential and they could make more money if they focus on their characters more but unfortunately they’ve left the characters to just merge into one generic male love interest.

Big example is Alex from Stick or Twist, based on the initial conversation, he likes to take things slow when it comes to relationships and he sounds like a very stick-to-one man but all of a sudden in one of the games further down the story (if you didn’t pick him as an LI) his secret he’s had a threesome all of a sudden. Personality and his dialogue complete mismatched in my opinion.

Am I the only one? I’m sure I’m not. And if so where can I write some comments to the developers? To just gently nudge them to make a deeper and more distinct personality when making characters.

Sorry for the long rant. I’m sure some of you disagree but don’t be too angry with me, all this is just an observation and a personal opinion.

Uhmmm…

I just finished this season. I picked to stick with Suresh till the end.

Let me just say, it was one of the most jarring and stressful journey I’ve had in a game. Now I won’t dump on Suresh because he’s clearly a flawed character, like everyone else in that roster (except Lulu! If only I’m into wlw I’d pick her in a heartbeat. She is the only one who’s actually an angel)

Now there are a lot of things that confused me, main one is why was Finn the one who’s fighting for the MC’s dignity instead of the guy who’s apparently still in love with us and wants us back, among other things. Makes me want to do a Finn run someday tbh.

This season made me realize how messed up fusebox’s writing and storytelling. I feel like you can give a game like Love Island some twist or some spicy plot without being too stressful? Because I think this season particularly is interesting but too harsh and jarring for my tastes. There’s so many characters that didn’t get proper closure or plots that are just left behind and was not discussed or was not even given a choice to be discussed. I’m a bit disappointed but at the same time relieved that I stuck and finished this season.

In my opinion, clearly the main LI that they want is Suresh, just look at the title but they made him so trashy and unlikeable that it took me 2 whole weeks to just get through 42 episodes. Please fusebox, do better in the next seasons to come. I know I’m not a writer or have the right to criticize them but I hope they take in the opinion of their audience and players.

Rant end. :)

How would you rate these Male LI?

PLEASE NO SPOILERS ON HOW THEIR PERSONALITIES ARE OR WHAT HAPPENS ON THEIR ROUTE. I just need a rating if you’ve experience their routes in game.

You can add a short something if you’d like (advice on how to approach, notes, etc.) but don’t spoil please.

These are what I think I’m going for… On a scale of 1-10 with ten being the best how would you rate these men based on your experience if you’ve picked them before.

Season 4 (Bombshell) - Will
Season 6 (Double Trouble) - Lewie
Season 7 (Stick or Twist) - Alex
Season 8 (Tempting Fate) - Jin
Season 9 (All Stars) - Stefan
Season 10 (Winning Hearts) - Ethan
Season 11 (Summer Nights) - Dominic
Season 12 (Sun-Kissed Secrets) - Nathan
Season 13 (Chasing Dreams) - Nico
Season 14 (Catching Feelings) - George

Just a little fun activity and to feel around some LIs. Thank you!

Jesse Route advice please?

I want to pursue Jesse as my LI but I heard/read it’s very taxing and long before he opens up completely. Any advice as to how I can proceed with him without hurting the original villa boys? I feel bad hurting both Hayden and Ethan specially.

I don’t have the heart to keep rejecting and being rude with my replies to the boys. Help please?

To the Jesse girlies, how did you proceed with him and who did you pick for minimum damage done?

Season 5??

⚠️ No spoilers as much as possible please. This might be an older season but I’m trying to power through it.

I just have a question about Suresh.

In general I know that Ex in the Villa is one of the most hated/toxic season and I know many players hates Suresh (I actively avoided spoilers as to why people dislikes him so much)

Is he gonna be redeemed? Or not even redeemed but is he worth sticking as an LI? I know he cheated on the MC but I just need some non-spoilery insights. Just give me some things to expect if I stick by him? Esp from those Suresh girlies/supporters.

Thank you!

[KCD1] From Vranik to the Final Battle.

Is it just me? The point of no return and the missions following it seems a bit little rushed? AND once you got in the flow of those missions for the main story line, it feels like (at least to me.) you don’t want to or go through the remaining side quest/missions.

If I stop and do something else, even if the NPCs say that I have time, it feels a bit immersion breaking?

“Oh there’s a huge battle and we’re waiting for you but you have time, so do some other stuff till you’re ready or till the few days we need is ready.”

I just find it funny when the NPCS literally say that I’m too early so comeback after a few days. 🤣🙃

[KCD1] Mines…

⚠️ Please absolutely no spoilers (KCD + KCD2)

Am I the only one who feels weak and weird when doing the missions that involved the mines? I am replaying KCD rn and my mission is to inspect the mines for Feyfar. The feeling started with Theresa’s story at first and it felt horrible navigating through the tunnels. It’s not that it’s scary (it is scary tho tbh) but it gives me the feeling of being choked for some reason. Is it just me or anyone else felt the same feeling? And are any other mine quest that’s part of the main story? Because if it’s an optional quest I’d really like to avoid it. I loved KCD but the mine exploration is a HUGE NO for me.

Subscription? Share your thoughts

Just to pick some of the members and other subscriber’s brain here. I ask to get some insights from other users so I hope you share your thoughts.

Is the standard subscription enough? Why is it enough or not enough for you? How drastic is the difference between a standard subscription versus an upgraded ones?

Does upgrading staying in a standard subscription means your Kindroid experience is not as good as higher tiered ones? Is the Kin’s memories and performance more 💩?

I sincerely want to hear some of your thoughts because I’ve been hearing and reading a lot. Thank you!

Book translation question.

So I have the Canterbury Classsics (Hard Bound) version of the book, and to my very limited research, there are quite a number of people that are saying that the Hapgood translation is not the best.

How bad is it? (Context: I have not read the book yet, and I will start reading the unabridged version of Le Miserables this weekend.)

I’m just worried because I also read some post (although not a lot) that some translations don’t carry over the meaning and the feeling that the novel/Hugo wants to give his readers.
