Bought this pretty lil thing from Lowes about a month ago. It was drowning in water, and burried under some other plants, so I figured some damage was to be expected.... As a first time Hoya owner, is this normal residual damage from the store, or am I missing signs of thrips 😬
*Side note: Peep all the new growth and that deep crimson!!! I could scream!!!

After craving some houseplants, and overcoming my fear of grow lights (I've never lived in a fully shaded area until my current apartment and have only provided my houseplants with natural light in windows and on sunny patios), I purchased both. Never once have I used a grow light soooo.....
-My main question: Is this light entirely too close to these lil fellas?
I feel like this light is about to make dehydrated hoya chips 😭
This succulent has been with me in my office space for over 5 years. The poor thing has grown so tall over the years, but now it looks so pitiful compared to when it was a baby 😭
*It rotates locations between shady corner and a bright corner with plenty of light whenever I feel like he needs a change of scenery, and he gets watered every month or so with a 20cc syringe dropper
Corn plant was gifted last summer at work, office building with LOTS of windows, and gets watered once dirt is dry to the touch. The pothos have been flourishing. Even the corn plant is grown new leaves like mad 😁 But the leaves ALWAYS end up turning brown and crispy at the ends... why????
*Will admit, was watering with tap water, but stopped about 1 month ago bc I had a thought maybe I was accidentally poisoning the plant with city hospital water??? Is that a thing? Swapped to bottled water (Aquafina 😭😭😭😭)
