Sharing a little something from one of my favourite places on Earth.

It is a famous English-language bookshop, just near Notre-Dame-de-Paris. It used to be located in another street (rue de l'Odéon) and writers and artists from the Lost Generation used to gather there (Joyce, Hemingway, Stein, Fitzgerald, Eliot, Pound... and French writers as well.) That’s where Joyce’s Ulysses was first published as a novel!

I guess this is a good choice for someone who likes books, right 😂? I hope she'll like it!

1. Map of the different vineyards in Gironde, France, where my mom lives 🇫🇷.
2. Vintage poster from WWII, bought in the Imperial War Museum in London 🇬🇧.
3. Given to me by a fellow Postcrosser 🇺🇦✊🏻.

They are all from the mid 2000s, from France's "La Poste".

My favourite ones are on the third page, with the whole Jules Verne set and the set of commemorative stamps (liberation of the concentration camps during WW2 and the end of slavery).

1. Umezawa Manor in Sagami Province from the series Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji, Katsushika Hokusai (1831), bought in the British Museum.

2. London's Globe, a famous open-air theater tied to William Shakespeare, bought in The Globe's gift shop.

3. A view from Troyes, gifted to me by a fellow Postcrosser.

4. Matt Smith as The Doctor (2009), from the Postcards from Time and Space set.

5. London under snow, bought during the heat wave in the gift shop near the London Eye two weeks ago.
