Live Peace - Terry callier

There was a significant Paul Weller live release this week, but we also got a superb live album from Weller adjacent Terry Callier. I got lots to say about Terry Callier, but I'm listening to this album right now and am struck dumb.

What a great show in Chicago tonight

The John Doe Folk Trio was already playing when we got there, but they were great.

I am a huge Lucinda Williams fan, and the next less intimate show I've seen was at the Vic, which is like 1/10 the capacity of the Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. I've seen her at Fitzgeralds, I've seen her at Unity Temple...she sounded incredible. Her voice has never been better. Fun to see how she tailored her setlist to an arena kind of crowd who might not know her. Thought about how some people might not know about her stroke and her road to recovery, and might think she didn't seem like she was doing too well. We were thrilled that she stood the whole time. Again, her voice sounds better than ever.

Bob's band was so tight, and he sounded so locked in. He's no less of a weirdo than ever. I think I've been seeing him since Time Out of Mind, and this was as good as any show I've seen.

Who was this second guitarist?

Does anyone remember an event in Grant Park to celebrate Casimir Pulaski in 2000?

According to wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commemoration\_of\_Casimir\_Pulaski):

"A special millennial tribute to Pulaski was staged in the year 2000 involving a large party in Chicago's Grant Park. Featured live were DJ Food and a varied dance setlist, including artists such as Two Hours Traffic alongside Snoop Dogg and Moby. This was followed by a multimedia presentation on Pulaski's life and accomplishments set to orchestral music performed by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and specially composed for the occasion by Yanni."

L. Ron Hubbard

I'm looking forward to listening to the episode, but it would have made for an amazing April Fools prank if they had decoded Andy Daly's appearances as the man (Comedy Bang Bang, Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project, etc)

Played hide & seek here tonight

I co-hosted a hide & seek party at Unity Temple tonight. Great place for it. Lots of good hiding places. The second pic is the pov hiding under a pew on the north first balcony.

Management dropping the ball and then relying on a whole bunch of black ladies to fix their problem feels a little too on the nose
