Gift for a leader'@ 50th

Hello. Mods - hope this is allowed. Happy to validate my credentials with you via PM - I am the assistant beavers leader for my group in the UK.

My kids have been attending a local group for a few years. Our wonderful Akela is turning 50 soon. We would like to get her a group gift.

Her husband thinks she would be most touched if it was something that somehow combined "scouting and 50".

Any brilliant ideas? I've looked on the UK scouting website which does have a "gifts for leaders" section but nothing is really leaping out. There's no specific budget in mind yet, we'll be asking parents/ carers to contribute.

She's been doing scouts for four decades now and has donated so much time and energy. We'd love to do something nice for her.

Purchasing a share of a garden (freehold, england)

I own (a share of) a property in London. Flat, am (notional) leaseholder but also freeholder. Converted block, 10 flats, everyone is 10% freeholder. I live in one of two garden flats.

There is a laundry list of shit to do and our management company is - suprise surprise- absolutely rubbish.

My main priority is the shared decking in the garden. This decking is the only way we can access the garden. It is rotting and actively dangerous. I have young children and am scared.

The other freeholders don't consider this a priority. I would like to propose that I buy the decking "area" so I can get it fixed and ensure my children can be safe.

I've suggested we fix it and got multiple quotes but no-one will engage.

How can I go about this? This = let me buy this bit of garden that none of you care enough to upkeep?

Any advice would be amazing. Thanks!

Edit: on a guesstimate this is about 3-5% of a large shared garden
