AI will eventually be a monthly bill

Just like water, power and internet, and eventually preventing the organic "umms" and "ahh"s that fill the gaps in your thought process, AI will be a tax, subscription or monthly bill that you only avoid by going off grid; if that's even possible by then. Kind of like the TV license in the UK.
I am thankful I studied a little while before AI became a thing. I don't know if I could have refrained from using it.

I didn't really consider how very positive people are toward this concept when they choose to opt into using AI for work, etc. They gladly pay because it helps them do their job or hobbies. My initial thought was touching on people outside of that scenario having to pay, regardless of whether they specifically opt into it or not. Having to prove you don't use AI, etc, to try get out of having to pay for it, hence the TV license parallel.
