Sayaka Rebellion version discussion

Sayaka Rebellion version discussion

I'm a bit late to the discussion about her, but still: I'm a huge fan of Sayaka, so I was super excited when her Rebellion version, Grandioso Sinfonia, got announced because it included Oktavia von Seckendorff!

Sadly, Oktavia only appears in the artwork and in the Special Attack, which was a bit of a letdown; and the in-battle unit is identical to the original, just with a water effect.

I think there was no need to create a Rebellion version (even less a 7th Mami unit), and they could have instead do a Sayaka Doppel version, so Oktavia could have more presence. It's true that her Doppel in Magia Record is only a rideable platform, so the two don't fuse the way Iroha and her Doppel do. Maybe they could have done something similar to what they did with Kyoko (giving her Ophelia's outfit).

Alternatively, if it had to stay a Rebellion version, it could have featured Oktavia standing behind her, similar to a Persona or the scene in the alley. Nagisa Momoe could also have received a Rebellion version based on Charlotte.

OG TWEWY Swag CD tracklist breakdown (with playlist)

I was paying closer attention to the TWEWY soundtrack, specifically the in-game Swag items CD tracks (swag CDs), and I noticed that the original swag CDs contain the same songs as the 2007 Original Soundtrack (OST) just in a different order.

In the first International version (NA/EU), many songs were substituted with new ones, which was reflected in the swag CDs; but of course, the 2007 OST kept the OG songs. Frequently these OG songs are labeled as “unused” or japanese exclusive in the wiki or in reddit. So I decided to make a Spotify playlist that follows the original swag CD order while weaving the International substitutes!

The second thing I noticed ist that the swag CDs tracklist is actually meaningful: the songs are grouped by “types” -- overworld tracks, battle tracks, cutscenes, store themes and so on. In this post I’ll go through the full swag CDs tracklist broken down by those types.

A couple of notes

  • In later game releases (SOLO Remix), the swag CDs reverted to the OG japanese list, and the NA/EU-exclusive tracks were assigned separate numbers. I’ll include those too.
  • Some songs have both an English and Japanese version even in the original game, and they were listed separately in both the OST and swag CDs, so I’ll keep them that way here as well.
  • Of course, I'm not an expert and I'm very welcome to recieve feedback, corrections and suggestions.

Multiple Homuras Theory: Wasu, Homura and Side Homura

Hi! English isn't my first language, and I sometimes rush through my thoughts when writing, so please be patient and feel free to ask if something isn't clear.

EDIT: Another Magia Record reference, several witches “cards” appear in the flipping book that (imo) Sayaka finds.

Outfit connections between Last City NPCs and previous Seasons

I love Season of Two Embers and the Last City. We finally got a glimpse into Sky’s lore and the NPCs make it feel really alive. I find very interesting that some of their outfits connect to previous Seasons. I guess this might indicate that those seasons were closer to the cataclysm? Some pics from the wiki, some are mine.
