Those who moved to chiangmai from Bangkok, what do you miss?

Going to do the move after 10 years in Bangkok. Curious what others miss from Bangkok.

Help decide for house in Hang Dong or Nong Chong San Sai (DIYA Valley or Land & houses Chonlada)

Hey guys
I"m moving from bangkok to chiang mai and i'm torn between choosing 2 houses.

One is it Hang Dong in the DIYA valley village, we have a car and motorbike and think this place could be interesting to reach the stores in Suthep especially by Motorbike which would be easier to explore the small coffees and stores there. And having a smaller time needed to go up the mountain and explore mountain stores. However we read that overall Hang Dong is not so great and could be boring, food deliveries might be restricted (we like to order here n there). Commute to old city, chang phuak and East city seems fine overall and similar enough with the house in the Chonlada village in Nong Chong San Sai, slightly shorter if we choose that place.

However it seems like living in Chonlada village, we have more access to restaurants and stores? I think the benefit living there is slightly shorter commute where it matters to hop or shop around? While however going to Suthep to west side of the airport might be longer and not ideal for motorbike and would have more likely to take out the car? being in Chonlada gives also another access to the mountain side of the west compared to hang dong. but it would also perhaps give more access to whats on the East side of chiang mai and its mountain which i have never explored and dont know what would be there.

We would love to hear from you guys on those 2 areas and what your experience in chiang mai is on where you spend most time hanging around and which side (west or east) of the mountains are more fun to explore with cute coffee stores on the mountains.

We are in our late 20 and early 30s. 1 car 1 motorbike and about to sign the contract starting in july

Cheers!
