Yonsei dorm early check-in

Hi everyone! I’m a new student at Yonsei, and I’ve already been assigned a dorm room with a check-in date of August 27.

I’ve just been invited to the K-MeetUP on August 20, so I need somewhere to stay from August 20–26.

I contacted the dormitory office to ask whether I could stay in my assigned room earlier, or possibly in another available room, and I’m happy to pay for those 7 extra nights. However, they haven’t replied yet.

Has anyone had experience with early check-in at Yonsei dormitories? Is it possible to arrange a temporary room for a week before the official check-in date?

Hotels are quite expensive for a full week, so I’d really appreciate any advice or experience. Thanks!

Has anyone sponsored their spouse on an F-3 visa while on a D-2 student visa?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently in South Korea on a D-2 visa and have been here for about a month. My girlfriend is a citizen of another country, and we're planning to get married.

Has anyone here successfully sponsored their spouse for an F-3 visa while studying in Korea?

I specifically want to know whether there was any issue because you had only recently arrived in Korea and how long the process took.

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.

Thanks!

Cheapest and easiest way to transfer KRW from KB Bank to a South African bank account before leaving Korea?

Hi everyone,

My friend leaving Korea soon and they're trying to figure out the cheapest and easiest way to move my remaining KRW from my KB Bank account to my South African bank account.

If anyone has done this recently, especially from KB Bank to a South African bank, I’d really appreciate your experience and recommendations.

Thanks!
