May: Burglars, Hidden cameras and Cutting Power

At 1:15, an owner watching their security cameras had their power turned off.

UPS is a must nowadays. I'm hearing an increase in burglars cutting power, it's not clear how they're doing it, could be as simple as flipping breakers.

I've been seeing news of hidden cameras with battery packs for at least 1-2 years now.

>The latest incident on April 17 involved a Porter Ranch resident who happened to be home when burglars tried to enter by cutting off power and jamming the internet.

The residents were home. This is one of the most aggressive burglars i've read, power and internet attack. I do wonder if cell phones were also jammed. Besides the obvious answer of guns, what is one realistically to do for defense?

They're the size of watermelons. For example:

I know they're expensive and industrial. But one camera will capture your entire front yard and roads leading up it. they have 180 and 360 versions.

Also, maybe criminals got used to seeing cameras, perhaps a giant camera will make sure they understand that they are 100% seen in 4k.
