Not sure about the weight on Cable Flyover Machine

Not sure about the weight on Cable Flyover Machine

same as the title. I read somewhere about the pulley system ratio on such machines, this one is 2:1 ratio (shows two ropes pulling the plate). I asked the trainer in my local gym about the weight of each plate, he tells me it’s 5kgs per plate, while it’s clearly written 49,56,63 kg, progressing by 7kgs
I told him this he said it’s just a number, each plate is 5kgs.
What do I make of this?

Volume of Intensity for beginner lifters?

21M here. I’ve been watching tons of videos on gym influencers talking about how intensity suits them better compared to volume (or they say junk volume). I’ve just recently started lifting like a month ago and i’ve been following the volume one i.e training each muscle around 15-18sets a week whereas they recommend 10sets maximum a week.

I know as a beginner my muscles will grow relatively way quicker compared to experienced lifters, but will following the volume method diminish my any maximum possible gain? Or is it with intensity?

Also I’m pretty much confused about progressive overload, like how exactly and when exactly do i change weights etc. Please give me a detailed answer since it’s my first time on this subreddit.
Thanks
