Hi all,

I recently bought an A35 AMG, coming from a much less demanding Skoda Fabia. With my Skoda, I had 215/45R16 Pilot Sport 4 tyres for the summer, and 195/50R15 Vredestein Wintrac tyres for the winter.

I'm looking at my options with this A35 in terms of tyres and wheels. Here are my current three choices in my head (bare in mind, I live in the UK and generally the winter tyres were on the Skoda from October - April to keep the salt off the alloys):

1. Summers = Michelin Pilot Sport 5, Winters = Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 on Rial M10 wheels

2. Summers = Pilot Sport 5, Winters = Michelin Crossclimate 3 Sport on Rial M10 wheels

3. All season Michelin Crossclimate 3 Sport, with the OEM wheels on all year round.

Any advice or suggestions would be welcome. I'm leaning towards #2, as we don't get too much snow here. It's more heavy rain and patches of ice that you need to worry about.

Hi all,

If a car ecu was remapped, but had the original ecu files still on it from before it was mapped 2 years previously, would it be safe to put the original files back onto the ecu?

I've been told that it is free to put the old files on, but £130 to put an "updated version" on, due to the files being old.
