I don't know what they're actually called, but they're very dark with purple flowers and black fruits that ripen to bright red so I call them goth peppers 🖤
Missed watering for one day and this guy started curling. He's okay now. Just gotta water him often.

Found this lil guy in a park last year growing in the roots of a big tree. Had him in a small pot over winter then potted him down and wired him up a couple weeks ago. He's growing fast, though! Just rewired him. Bonus spider friend in last pic, poor thing is probably terrified now!
Absolutely extra to be using an eyedropper, but then again what about this isn't extra? 😂
Found this little guy in with another tree. I suspect it's either a quaking Aspen or a cherry. Stuck him in a pot I made, fits perfectly 😁
Visited an old growth forest recently and it was LOADED with mushrooms!! ID help is welcome, I appreciate mushrooms but I'm not familiar with many yet. Bonus slime mold at the end!

Went camping recently and there were some mushrooms on the campsite. This one had some dramatic development!
I have an assortment of baby trees that I just repotted (with minimal trimming) into new soil yesterday. They will be mame, so I want some dramatic bends in the trunks. Should I go ahead and wire them now, or should I wait since they've just been repotted? And if I should wait, how long?
Pic is one of the babies, they're still very thin and flexible.
E: They're staying in their small pots. Despite what you've likely heard, it is a viable mame strategy to grow them in tiny pots from the start. I don't need a big trunk, I'm just enjoying the process.
Anyone have tips and tricks for growing mame?
My plan is to let the lil guys fill their tiny pots, then uppot them into something bigger and put them outside. I figure that'll give them a nice tight root ball that can be trimmed back without fear of hitting anything critical.
Has anybody tried doing this or something similar before? If you have mame, what was your strategy for sizing it down?
I have this cotoneaster thymifolia with a little branch end that I think would look PERFECT in a tiny pot on its own. I was thinking maybe I could cut a hole in a little plastic sauce cup and fill it with coco coir? Anyone have experience with itty bitty air layers? Tips, tricks, wisdom, and tangentially related anecdotes welcome!!
Potted last night using tweezers and the finer bits of some regular peat based soil. Specimens are "cacti" from a generic cactus seed packet from big box store, plus some weeds that were growing in with my wife's plants
The two cacti I grew from seed from a kit. The other two are rooted cuttings from existing succulents. I'm very proud that they're all alive and well 🥹
