Over 30 & Under 30

Over 30 & Under 30

Particularly satisfying numbers today that I wanted to share!

I've officially lost over 30kg which brings me under 30 BMI

So I've officially moved into "Overweight" instead of "Obese".

And it also means im 65% of the way to my goal of 65kg!

6 day holiday - Take jab early or bring pen with me.

Hi, I'm going on my first holiday since starting MJ I March and trying to figure out logistics of my jab this week.

Jab day for me is Wednesday and I typically jab sometime between 8pm and 10pm, but this coming Wednesday I'll be taking a flight and leaving my house around 7am.

Can I get away with just taking my jab last thing before I go (so approx 13 hours early).

I have a travel case and I can bring it with me but would prefer taking it early rather than bringing the pen with me for the sake of one shot on my first day!

Wondering if anyone has done similar?

(Edit: Spelling)

Mini micro meals!

Not sure if this is the most fitting post for this sub but I thought I'd share in case its helpful to anyone.

I spotted a new range of mini microwavable meals in Tesco the other day from FIT foods, tried a couple of them and theyre genuinely nice!

They're now doing mini size portions which I've found to be brilliant. I suspect they're targetting GLP-1 users without actually specifying it, but hey, if its a good product then why not?

I eat fresh homecooked food 90% of the time but there are times (for multiple reasons) that that just isnt possible, so I was genuinely surprised with how decent these are for an easy option rather than reaching for crap !

They're 2 for €7 in tesco at the mo and I love that they have the cals and protein listed up front! Saw someone post about ready meals in another sub so figured I'd share here

First check up since starting

Had my first check up with my GP today after starting 3 months ago. Felt like a child going into to a parent with a report card hoping they'd be proud 😆

When I asked for help with weightloss (in tears) in the initial appointment 3 months ago, I didnt really know anything about GLP-1s, but today I had a great chat with my doc about GLP-1s in general as well as my own experience and progress and how much these meds are doing for so many people (weightloss and otherwise).

It was honestly so refreshing.

Delighted to walk out of the appointment for a script for another 6 months and my doc reckons Im on track to go back down to 2.5 after those 6 months. Im honestly so frickin grateful to have such a supportive GP.

Not really sure why I'm feeling the need to share other than the fact that I haven't told anyone other than my partner that I'm on this (because I know any judgy or negative comments would really get to me) so its nice to get it out somehow 😅

Today was a really good day ☺️

Plumber costing €560 for 2 small jobs??

Hi, I just got a quote for a couple of small jobs for €567 (in Dublin) and I'm wondering is this way OTT or just the going rate?

- Replace flush valve and fill valve in toilet. (Plumber supplying everything, but I know those parts are cheap and quick to fit)

- Replace kitchen tap (I bought the tap myself so thats excluded from the quote)

I know I'm obviously paying for experience and time but just wanted to get a sense of whether this is high or normal as I've no real concept of the going rate.

Can you reduce dose before maintenance phase?

Hi! First post ever as I need some advice 👋

I started MJ in March. My doc gave me the prescription for 1 month of 2.5mg and 3 months of 5mg. I was going really well on 2.5. Immediately losing, food noise gone, minimal, manageable side effects but I sort of blindly ordered the 3 x 5mg pens (thank zeus for credit cards) before I knew that staying on 2.5 might have been an option for me.

I'm now on week 5 of 5mg but its been a bit more of a struggle to mange to eat enough calories and hit protein targets. And the nausea for 2 days after the jab is rough.

I'm going to use all of the pens I have because I've bought them, they can't exactly be returned and I'm still losing over 1kg weekly which I'm really happy with, but I'm wondering has anyone gone back down a dose, before reaching maintenence and continued to lose?? Ive lost over 16kg so far but still have a good 25ish to go. I'll discuss with my doc in a month but hoping for some experiences 🙏
