Closing on a house - General Contractor/Plumber/Electrician Recs?

Hi everyone, my wife and I are possibly (hopefully) going to be closing on a house this week in the Bothell area! First time buying a house and it's been crazy.

Since this is actually (hopefully) happening - I'm looking for recommendations for contractors in the area who could do a kitchen remodel + a bunch of other stuff around the house (I have a list but it would just be a wall of text so I'll save that unless needed)

Project scope for the kitchen hopefully isn't too crazy: new countertops, cabinets, backsplash, no new appliances, but the only wrinkles are we are extending the kitchen out 15ft (into unused space) + moving the stove over into that space (which I assume will require a plumber)

Anyone know and trust some folks who would be able to do the job for a reasonable price in the next couple of months?

Buying house with existing NEMA14-50, what to look for for safety?

Hi everyone, new here and unfortunately between home buying stress, a toddler and a new one on the way I haven't been able to adequately research this topic beyond some quick reading on the wiki and reviewing a bunch of posts here.

The house we're (hopefully) buying has a NEMA14-50 installed directly below the breaker box. It looks like the plug was professionally installed and it has a pair of breakers assigned to it per the labels (it's also the only 50A circuit in the box).

Besides wiring quality, are there any things I should look for to be sure I'm not plugging into a fire hazard? My EVSE is a VW 2-in-1 travel charger so presumably it tops out at 32A.

Edit: I should add the house was built in 2014 in WA state, if that helps identify any relevant bldg code

Another edit: okay the Reddit app sucks. Here's an imgur album with the pics I do have of the outlet and breaker install: https://imgur.com/a/sEBNZdM

Hi r/Bothell!

My wife, 2yo and dog have been living in Kirkland for 4yrs since we moved to the area, renting a place in Finn Hill. Finally after years and years of saving we're looking to buy a place! My wife works in downtown Seattle and I work over in Redmond and my daughter's daycare is in Kirkland. I drop her off in the morning and my wife picks her up in the evening.

Unfortunately, price wise it seems that we're still at the low end of the market, pushing us further North - around Lynnwood/Alderwood Manor or going with a smaller place that is closer.

I'm trying to get a sense of what our commutes would actually be like so I know where to draw my lines for housing and was hoping to get some perspectives from you all if that's okay.

I know 405 can be a nightmare at certain times and the 405-522 interchange is rough right now particularly with construction ongoing, but is, say, Thrasher's Corner wildly different to Canyon Park or Downtown Bothell in terms of commute?
