Stevie Last Night !

Stevie Last Night !

She is out and about in NY City to serve as Honorary Chair at NYC Ballet. The piece is Gabriel Kahane's mirror/sky (landslide), an original composition for orchestra and vocalist specifically described as an homage to Stevie Nicks's “Landslide.” For last night's one-time gala performance, the New York City Ballet Orchestra played the score and singer-songwriter Haley Heynderickx performed the vocals, while Justin Peck's pas de deux was danced by Tiler Peck and Roman Mejia. Is this a diss track?

My friend (more into rap music) doesn't know much about FM but when he saw this, he thought LB was dissing SN. 1) She doesn't really need to sing on this song and 2) the lyrics seem to be that he "triumphed" over her. In the recent past SN said she felt like being with LB on tour, she felt like "a dying flower all the time."

I have always thought of this performance as mutually heartbreaking and he is clearly emotional too, but now I think of LB's history of being very competitive with SN. I never really thought about LB kind of doing a "ha ha, I won" kind of moment with this song. I know things might have changed between them since then but gosh, she looks so miserable here (granted it could be other things going on in her life).

Stevie Nicks will perform on Kimmel Tuesday 8/25/26

She is only listed as musical guest (not that she will be interviewed). Coincidentally, Henry Winkler happens to be the guest that night who was also on when Lindsey B played on Kimmel back in 2018.
