Do I need to be concerned about her burrow collapsing?

Do I need to be concerned about her burrow collapsing?

The adventures of Margot continue, and I want to know if I should be stressed about this..

Her burrow is getting bigger every day, glad she’s getting comfy and all, but I’m worried about it collapsing in on itself? I’m fairly certain she can dig herself out so I’m not too worried about that. Her hide is a resin half-log that I buried 75% in the substrate and packed down so it would be solid, but I didn’t think she would excavate so much underneath it and I don’t want it to fall.. You can see the bottom corner of the log right above her in the photo (it looks like she’s pinned under it but she’s not, it’s just dirt on her, almost gave me a heart attack).

Are tarantulas aware of things like structural integrity for their burrows, or is she just shoveling around willy nilly? Is there anything that could hurt her about this?

Also she ate her cricket in there so there’s probably no possible way I can get the bolus out.. love that haha

I need someone to be excited with me about my new girly

This is Margot! She’s my first T, a 1.5” female Grammostola rosea RCF. She is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. I got her 4 days ago and she’s already done so much in her enclosure. I didn’t expect so much productivity so soon, but she’s already taken the liberty of burying her fake plants and making a burrow all the way to the bottom of the tank, and I’m very proud of her.

Excuse the poor photo quality, but please let me know if you see anything wrong with her enclosure! I’m trying not to worry about her climbing on the walls yet because she’s still so new to her home, but as she settles in I’ll be looking out for if she’s still doing it or showing any other signs of stress. I’d also love to hear other people’s observations of their T’s first week in a new enclosure!
