We’ve got Entra Hybrid join working reliably and the enrolment to Intune takes place afterwards, so I know the Entra Device Settings and Intune Enrolment is configured correctly.

But I want to start moving away from this and natively joining Entra during OOBE or via Autopilot.

Here’s the rundown and the issue….

Windows 11 25H2 fresh image from ISO

During OOBE we select Join Work or School

Enter M365 username and password

Choose the account to join Entra

Just get spinning blue dots forever. No error message, no timeout.

Note: the user has a Business Premium licence, max number of devices is set to 50, no Device Registration Service entry appears in sign in logs. We have also excluded this user from Conditional Access and tried another user with the same result.

Note: I can join the exact same device without changing anything locally, to another tenant in exactly the same way and it works perfectly.

I think there is something wrong with the Device Registration Service on our tenant.

Anyone experienced the same issue and resolved it?

This has been logged with Microsoft but I’m not getting anywhere - they keep asking me the same basic questions and I’ve provided logs from the device. Not getting much help.

In my home office I currently have iTunes on my PC and play tracks I have downloaded via my Apple Music subscription on the PC speakers.

I also use my iPhone via CarPlay in the car to play Apple Music tracks - again downloaded to my phone.

The key here is ‘downloaded’ not streamed.

What options do I have for playing music in the living room - from Apple Music and downloaded to a device.

How much memory does the Apple TV have? can I download my music to it and play locally from the device through the TV speakers?

Also been looking at the Eversolo Play because that connects to Apple Music - my question is the same can I download and store music on the device to play locally via bookshelf speakers?

My music library consumes around 75Gb.

This used to work fine - no issues whatsoever. We have not changed anything in our environment except a SonicWall firmware applied at the beginning of April.

We have 4x Windows 11 PCs at the main site and a Synology NAS at the remote site. We were using Windows backup to backup sys images of each PC to a shared folder on the NAS. We have 1Gb/1Gb lines at both sites.

Since the beginning of April, as soon as the backup starts running, our Papercut Ricoh printers at the main site lose connection with the Papercut server VM (port 9192) that is sitting in Azure - there is another vpn tunnel setup on the same sonicwall.

As soon as the backup is stopped, they reconnect.

So we tried using VEEAM backup instead, and using the traffic throttling setting reduced down as far as 50mbps - still the same issue.

What has changed in the SonicWall firmware?

Is the DPI/IDS/IPS struggling to work with the backup traffic?
