I’m probably overthinking this, but I really don’t want to join the wrong gym.

I’m a freelancer and trying to choose between Tribe Model A Town Gym and The Body Studio Trade Center. I wanted to ask people who have actually been to these gyms.

I’m a beginner, so I mainly care about:

  • Good equipment
  • Clean, open space and a nice environment
  • Friendly staff who are easy to talk to
  • A place where a beginner doesn’t feel weird or out of place

I’m not looking for a trainer. I just want a good gym where I can work out, learn at my own pace, and ask for help if I need it.

Also, if anyone else is new and thinking about joining either gym, let me know. It would be nice to know someone else who’s starting too.

I’m still trying to figure out what timing works best for me. Right now I’m thinking 5 AM or around 5 PM.

If you’ve been to both, which one would you choose and why? Honest opinions are welcome, good or bad.

What moisturizer did you personally use that actually helped?

I have combination skin, and I’m looking for a moisturizer that actually helps keep my skin hydrated and supports my skin barrier without making the redness around my nose worse.

I have seb derm around my nose, and it’s probably about 50% cleared up, but that last bit of redness is still there. My skin barrier isn’t really damaged, but I’m using an antifungal cream, which needs barrier support in that area, so I’m looking for a good moisturizer.

I tried Purito and just didn’t like it. I’ve also been looking at Dr. Althea, but honestly, it feels pretty expensive for the amount you get. I really like CeraVe, but I’m trying to stick to something fungal-safe.

I don’t mind if it’s Pakistani or international. Just please recommend something you’ve actually used yourself. I’m not really looking for another product that’s just popular because everyone keeps recommending it 😅

What moisturizer do you genuinely like and would buy again?

The biggest skincare lie I believed.

I think a lot of us started skincare believing it could completely change our skin after seeing people with clear skin.

I also think skincare marketing makes a lot of us believe that all we need is the right products, and if we stick with them long enough, we'll eventually have perfect skin.

I spent a lot of time looking for the "best" products, even expensive ones, thinking they'd finally give me the skin I wanted.

Along the way, I ended up spending even more money fixing problems like breakouts and clogged pores.

My skin did get better, but not as much as I expected. What surprised me even more was seeing people who don't have a skincare routine. Most of them just wash their face with soap, yet they still have great skin.

That's when I realized skincare is only one part of the picture. Genetics, hormones, and other factors seem to matter a lot.

What's your honest opinion on skincare?
