was I being cheated?
Today I got petrol filled worth ₹150 at Langer Petrol Pump in Ujjain. I was actually watching the meter carefully from zero, and something felt really odd.
As soon as the worker started filling, the meter suddenly jumped from 0 to 9 instantly. I thought maybe I saw it wrong, so I stayed there and kept observing.
Then the person behind me got petrol worth ₹50, and even his meter jumped directly from 0 to 5.
Now I genuinely don’t know if this is how petrol machines normally work or if something shady is going on.
Petrol prices are already above ₹110, and if pumps are also cutting money like this, then it’s honestly frustrating.
Am I misunderstanding this, or has anyone else noticed something similar?
