Ujjain- omkareshwar-Ujjain or omkareshwar-Ujjain?
Planning a Ujjain & Omkareshwar trip with my 74-year-old mother around 26–29 June and would appreciate suggestions on which option would be better for a senior citizen 🙏
She can walk comfortably, but I want to keep the trip smooth and not too hectic.
Option 1:
- Reach Ujjain on 26 June morning
- Leave for Omkareshwar the same day
- Return to Ujjain or stay overnight in Omkareshwar
- Attend Bhasma Aarti next morning in Ujjain
- Visit local temples and return home
Option 2:
- Reach Ujjain on 26 June morning
- Visit Mahakaleshwar & nearby temples first
- Attend Bhasma Aarti next morning
- Visit Omkareshwar after that
- Return to Ujjain and travel back next day
Also trying to decide:
- Stay near Mahakaleshwar Temple vs slightly away for comfort
- Cab vs train for Ujjain–Omkareshwar travel
- Same-day Omkareshwar trip vs overnight stay there
Would especially appreciate advice from anyone who has travelled with elderly parents recently, including hotel area suggestions and transport availability early morning for Bhasma Aarti.
