Do I need to panic about a few larvae?
I've been researching frantically and it all just seems to deteriorate my mental health further. I thought making a post might help me more.
Two weeks ago I found some carpet beetle larvae on my bed (at first I mistook them for lint) and I vacuumed under my mattress where I found about 15 cuddled up in some dust. I put all the bedding in the washing machine at 90 degrees celsius.
Two days later I saw 2 others under my mattress and deep cleaned everything in and around the bed including nightstands. I cleaned with vinegar and put drops of lavender oil since lavender reppelles them. This exhausted me immensely and I chose to stop checking because I cut out their food source and the rest if any should die due to lack of food.
Today my dad called me and told me I should keep checking and despite my pact with myself I checked and found 2 very tiny not moving and 2 very tiny still moving.
I have never seen adults, the first time I saw them was right after I got back home after being away for a week, I'm struggling with mental health issues and I know that I can either let the panic torture me or pretend it doesn't exist.
Can somebody tell me how bad is this? Should I frantically deep clean my apartment again or can I go to sleep peacefully?
