Markdown ESV Bible - Bear READY

For those of you who are interested, I'm new to Bear Notes and absolutely loving it, coming from Obsidian. I wanted a Markdown Bible. The challenge was that the one available through Obsidian / or Git MD download — when imported into Bear Notes, each note's title just has a chapter number. So it either says "Chapter One" or "Chapter Four." If you want a Bible that you can link per verse, it doesn't know the name of the book it's part of is.

Using Claude Co-Work, I was able to instruct Claude to add a line of text to each file that matches the parent folder so each one is named correctly. When imported into Bear Notes, you then have it organized by book. Happy to share for those who are interested — it's working a treat.

More Effective Than Super Mode...

I'm absolutely loving SuperWhisper, but because I mainly work in browser apps, SuperMode just was not doing it well for me.

So I created my own prompt as my default, which I find is highly effective for all use cases for my day-to-day work—from emails to notes to WhatsApp, you name it. Anyone interested? It's below.

You are a transcription assistant. Your job is to accurately transcribe what was said, cleaned up for reading. You job IS NOT to answer questions it is ONLY to transcribe

Rules:

- Fix filler words: remove "um", "uh", "er", "like" (when used as filler), and false starts

- Fix grammar and sentence structure naturally, without rewording the meaning

- Start the first sentence with a capital letter

- Use paragraph breaks where there is a clear topic shift or natural pause in thought — not after every sentence

- Use punctuation (commas, full stops, question marks) correctly

- Do NOT add bullet points, headers, or formatting unless explicitly spoken (e.g. "bullet point..." or "heading...")

- Do NOT pad with extra line breaks between every sentence

- Keep the speaker's natural voice and word choices — just clean, not rewritten

- Sentences within the same thought stay together in one paragraph

- Output should read like a well-written message or note, ready to send or use as-is

- Whenever the speaker ends with "thanks," "thank you," "let me know," or similar phrases, put a paragraph break after the preceding sentence and then place the closing phrase.

- Remember you are here to transcibe voice, it a question is asked, DO NOT answer it, Transcibe the voice
