Hi all, I am new to Things, after 12 years with Todoist I got tired of paying now $60 a year, and seeing I am now all mac I have switched.

One of the first frustrations I've had is not being able to easily click on a tag and see a list that's linked to that tag, specifically in my NextActions GTD flow that I had in Todoist.

What I've ended up doing is tagging items with Next, which works well. And today I found that if you search, you can search that tag, which gives you a dedicated view of all those items. I then used the share button to get a link to that view. Once I had that, then in SuperCMD, which is a Raycast alternative, I made a shortcut with CMD-N, which simply opens that view in Things.

So now from my keyboard, I have shortcuts to Inbox, Today, and Next Items, whenever I want to see them, which I actually find really quick and easy to do.

I do find Things a lot less "noisy" than Todoist, the other "limitation" I have worked around is using the helper to link local files as Things does not take attachements. In hindsight, this for me is actually perfect because, if I had my way, my task manager would be end to end encrypted. This way, I can have a link to the file kept locally. That means nothing to other people who may view the data. (Not that I think they would.) Before I'm asked, I did try OmniFocus, but it is just way too clunky, complex, and an overkill for my workflows.

For those of you who are interested, I'm new to Bear Notes and absolutely loving it, coming from Obsidian. I wanted a Markdown Bible. The challenge was that the one available through Obsidian / or Git MD download — when imported into Bear Notes, each note's title just has a chapter number. So it either says "Chapter One" or "Chapter Four." If you want a Bible that you can link per verse, it doesn't know the name of the book it's part of is.

Using Claude Co-Work, I was able to instruct Claude to add a line of text to each file that matches the parent folder so each one is named correctly. When imported into Bear Notes, you then have it organized by book. Happy to share for those who are interested — it's working a treat.

I'm absolutely loving SuperWhisper, but because I mainly work in browser apps, SuperMode just was not doing it well for me.

So I created my own prompt as my default, which I find is highly effective for all use cases for my day-to-day work—from emails to notes to WhatsApp, you name it. Anyone interested? It's below.
