I just released the follow up the parametric box. I have introduced ways to make the box more robust using "IF" statements in the spreadsheet and keeping the output contained so the box doesn't break easily.
This example shows how to drive a model using a spreadsheet, including parameter control, calculated values, and limits to help prevent invalid geometry and broken models.
If you’re learning parametric modeling in FreeCAD, this should be a useful example to explore and modify.
