Why the Emperor? Feels Ominous.

Before you ask, yes I do pull reversed cards for myself regularly. At least twice as often (or more) as upright.

Standard Celtic Cross regarding my lately tangled and distant creativity.

  1. Present situation/me - Queen of Cups Reversed

  2. The Problem- King of Pentacles Reversed

  3. The Past- 9 of Swords Reversed

  4. The Near Future- Knight of Swords Reversed

  5. Conscious/What I Know- The Sun

  6. Unconscious/shadow- Temperance Reversed

  7. My inner world- Magician Reversed

  8. Environment/external influences- 7 of Pentacles Reversed

  9. Hopes & Fears- the World

  10. Overall/Outcome- The Emperor

I've been reading for decades but I often struggle for myself. I've been in a freeze/depression state for a while now and my energy for creative things is nil.

My thoughts: I'm insecure and heavily unbalanced. I've been destabilized by trying (and failing) to heal old wounds. I'm at risk of running headlong into disaster if I don't watch it. I can't stay in the sun and ignore the shadows forever. I want the world but lack the discipline to get it.

I'm the most confused by the Sun and especially the Emperor.

I did pull clarifiers for the Emperor- 5 of Swords Reversed, The Chariot Reversed, the Page of Swords Reversed.

Any thoughts are very appreciated.
