Identifying a bad harness

Identifying a bad harness

So I just received Comma 4 and tried to install it. I do see that Honda Fit 2018 - 2020 is supported, and I do have the same car except mine is a hybrid version from Japan. Good thing is that the harness did plug just fine.

However, when I installed OpenPilot, it said it is falling back to dash cam mode because it cannot identify the car. After some searching I thought may be the fingerpint didn't exactly match the American Honda fit so I installed sunny pilot and it allows me to manually select the car.

That got me to the point where it said "drive above 15 miles to calibrate" but that lasted for like 2 - 3 seconds and suddenly it said "CAN bus disconnected, likely faulty cable"

Then I saw this video here: https://youtu.be/nNU6ipme878?si=MNjFEO6NMQvIRlPF&t=550

Which seems to suggest that if I unplug comma device (while the harness is connected), the car shouldn't complain and there should be no LKAS and ACC errors, right?

So I did that, those errors are there even when comma is unplugged. They only go away when I remove the harness and plug the original connector back in and just remove the harness completely from the loop..

Is it okay to conclude that I just got a bad harness? Should I see LKAS and ACC errors if I unplug the Comma Device's USB C plug?
