Visited my brother for Thanksgiving and his IPTV setup made mine look like a flip phone

Hadn't seen him in a year. Walked into his living room and the TV looked unreal.

Asked what he was using. Just said "IPTV bro, get with the times."

Spent half the trip watching his stuff instead of catching up with family lol.

Back home now and mine feels ancient. What are folks in the US running these days? Want to upgrade before Christmas

My roommate is charging me $40/month for "his" IPTV and I just found out he pays $15 for the whole thing 🙃

Been splitting the "entertainment bill" with my roommate for 4 months. He told me his IPTV sub was $80/month and we'd each pay $40. Seemed fair.

Yesterday I saw a payment notification pop up on his laptop. $15. Monthly. Same service.

He's been pocketing $25 off me every month this whole time 🤡

Ok so now I wanna get my own. Problem is he was the one who set it all up and I have no clue where to even start.

What should I be looking for as someone doing this solo for the first time? And roughly what's a fair price to actually pay? Don't wanna get scammed twice in one month lol

IPTV login works in Smarters but not in Smarters Lite?

I can log into my IPTV account fine on the regular Smarters app on my phone.

But when I try the same details in Smarters Lite on my TV, it says login failed. I’m entering the exact same username, password, and server URL.

Is there something different about how Lite handles login?

Just logged into my IPTV on Smarters and live TV loads fine, but I don’t see any VOD or series section at all.

My provider said it includes movies and shows, so I’m not sure if I missed something during setup.
Is there a setting to enable VOD or should it show up automatically?

Using it on Android TV.

I’m fairly new to IPTV and I’m trying to figure out a frustrating network issue.

I have a 500 Mbps fiber internet connection, and my device is hardwired directly to the router with an Ethernet cable. During the morning and afternoon, my IPTV streams are flawless. Zero lag, instant channel zapping.

But the moment it hits 7:00 PM or during the weekend, it becomes completely unwatchable. It buffers every 15 seconds, freezes, and sometimes kicks me out of the app entirely.

I’ve run speed tests during these times, and my internet is still pulling 500 Mbps, so it's not my home network.

Is this just a common IPTV thing?

  • Is my ISP (Internet Service Provider) throttling my connection at night? Do I need to buy a VPN?
  • Or does this mean the provider’s servers are just overloaded when everyone gets off work?

Any advice on how to troubleshoot this buffering issue would be great
